Letters To The Editor

Letters to the Editor: May 1, 2008

Dear Editor,
Recently, Craig community member Tanya (Schulze) Bohrer was diagnosed with metastasized melanoma of the liver.
For those of you who do not know Tanya, she grew up in Craig, was graduated from Moffat County High School, and now works as the secretary of Moffat County High School. Tanya has three children, Makinzie Bretches, Destinee Bohrer and Koy Bohrer.
On May 15, at the Fairgrounds Pavilion, we will be sponsoring a dinner and auction to assist Tanya and her family in medical expenses. The purpose of our letter is to ask for your help in making this event a success through your donation of an item or service for the auction. A member of the committee to organize the event will be contacting you in the next two weeks or you may contact DeLaine Brown or Paula Duzik as listed below.
If you would like to donate funds to this worthy cause, you may also do so by stopping at Bank of the West, where an account has been opened for Tanya.
Please also mark your calendars to attend the dinner and auction on May 15 at 6 p.m. at the Moffat County Fairgrounds Pavilion.

Dear Editor,
On behalf of myself, Rangely Animal Shelter staff and the Rangely Police Department we’d like to thank all who either participated or donated their services to the rabies clinic and our bake sale.
Despite the wind, we had a great turn-out, making it a day of success. Our intentions are to add much more for next year.
We thank you all for the community support, this event would not be possible without it.
Kay Nickson
Rangely Animal Shelter coordinator
Dear Editor,
I would like to thank the citizens of Meeker for allowing me the honor and privilege of serving as a trustee on the Meeker town board for the past four years. It has been an immensely rewarding experience, I’ve learned a great deal about what it takes to run a town and how much it costs for all the services provided. We are fortunate to have a great staff and with the new board members, I am confident that the town will continue to be great place to live and raise a family. Providing for all the various needs of the town during this period of rapid growth and escalating costs will be increasingly difficult and we will all need to work together to assure that Meeker will always be a town we can be proud of. I hope to have the opportunity to serve again when I have more time to devote to the position.
Andy Thomson
