MEEKER I Local golfer Lex Collins recorded his fourth career hole-in-one at the Meeker Golf Course on Saturday after the Ladies’ Deerfly.
Collins used a nine iron on the 147-yard No. 2 hole to get the ace, according to witness/golf manager Scott Bowman.
“They had a closest-to-the-pin contest on No. 2 during the tournament and no one even landed on the green,” Bowman said of the ladies’ contest.
“Lex and I went out after the tournament, and he aced it. I heard it hit the bottom of the cup; we were the only golfers on the course.”
Bowman said Collins has recored three aces on No. 2 and one on No. 1.
“It was an impressive shot,” Bowman said of Collins’ most recent hole-in-one.
