Lightning Awareness Week to be observed

RBC I The 2010 National Lightning Safety Awareness Week is June 20-26. In Colorado, that also includes Wildfire Awareness during the Lightning Safety Week.
While the 30-year average of annual deaths has dropped from 72 (1970-2000) to 58 (1980-2010), there are still people who wait too long to seek safe shelter. There have already been five lightning fatalities in the United States this summer.
