RBC I The Republican Party in Rio Blanco County is amassing a number of candidates who have filed for election or re-election to office in 2014, including a number of incumbents who will be running to remain in office.
With the announcement that long-time Sheriff Si Woodruff will not be running again, Republicans Anthony Mazzola and Mike Joos of Meeker have filed their intent to run with the Colorado Secretary of State’s Office.
Republican Boots Campbell, who is presently an employee of the county Clerk & Recorder’s office, has filed her intention to run for clerk and recorder as incumbent Nancy Amick will not be running for re-election.
The remainder of those Republican candidates who have filed candidate affidavits are incumbents: Assessor Renae Neilson, District 1 County Commissioner Shawn Bolton, County Coroner Dr. Albert Krueger, M.D.; County Surveyor Jonathan Leif Joy; and County Treasurer Karen Arnold, who is also secretary/treasurer of the Rio Blanco County Republican Party.
