Man dies in camp bed at Piceance Creek

RBC I Anthony Lilly, 75, of Arvada was found dead in his bed Sept. 11 while on a hunting trip in the Piceance Creek area with his son-in-law.
Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s deputies Paula Dent and Adam Wade responded to the call, 6.5 miles up County Road 26A, about 60 miles southwest of Meeker.
Lilly and his son-in-law arrived at the camp site on Sept. 10 and spent the day on four-wheelers scouting out the area. That night, Lilly complained he was not feeling well and went to bed early. He died in his sleep.
