Ms. Kaylee Mecham and Mr. Jonathan Pennell are the March students of the month at RJSHS.
Kaylee Mecham will be missed next year at RJSHS. She has been active in most everything offered. She has played volleyball, basketball, run track, is in the National Honor Society, is currently the FFA chapter president and is one of the student council co-chairs. She has been this active and has still maintained a 4.0 GPA. To top off the grades and activities, she was also a finalist for the Boettcher scholarship this year. Mecham can always be found working to better the school. She is continually planning, working on or organizing activities that the students can participate in. Her leadership and work ethic are apparent in all that she does and she continually does this with a big smile on her face.
Jonathan Pennell is a young man who is willing to help and support any and all of his classmates. He has participated in track, National Honor Society and student council. He plans to attend CNCC and major in mechanical engineering. He hopes to pursue a career where he will develop engine components for automobiles. If you have ever attended the home games, any regional tournament or state tournament, you will have seen Pennell running around the sidelines with a camera in his hands. Not only has he been a dedicated supporter of his classmates, he has helped to provide pictures for the newspaper, the website and for the yearbook. Jonathan has not missed a tournament this year and can always be counted upon for getting a great shot with a camera.
