Masons support FFA

The Meeker Masons presented Maclaine Shults, FFA member, and Paul “Buckshot” Sheridan, representing Friends of the FFA, with a check in the amount of $1,110. These monies were raised at the annual Masons’ Potato Bake in April. Proceeds received will be used to help with the costs being incurred to send the 2010 FFA Livestock Judging Team and their coach to compete and represent Colorado at the Royal Highland Livestock Exposition in Edinburgh, Scotland, June 23-26, 2011.  Scotland is the premiere agricultural show held in the United Kingdom, where nearly 2000 competitors exhibit, show and evaluate 5000+ animals. Hailed as Scotland’s leading summer event, the Royal Highland Show boasts more than 160,000 attendees, and is recognized as the UK’s premier livestock showcase.
“We feel blessed to be able to contribute to this cause,” stated Mason Kevin Amack. “And we look forward to hearing about a successful experience by the participants.”
