Meeker 4-H Council April report

MEEKER I The Meeker 4-H Council met Wednesday, April 4 after school. A great turn-out of seventeen members were in attendance to make plans and generate community pride ideas for the summer. Members in attendance were Taylor Neilson, Macy Collins, Sophia Goedert, Matilda Brown, Elijah Deming, Tatumn Kennedy, Derek Nielson, Colby Clatterbaugh, Justin Lawson, Rainer Foreback, Daylon Nielson, Tannen Kennedy, Zagar Brown, Stephen Walsh, Jenna Walsh, Mary Baylie and Kolbi Franklin.
Council representatives were active representing the following clubs: beef, sheep, White River Swine, shooting sports, rockets/ robots, sewing, horse, leather, poultry/rabbits, dog, and White River Livestock. Agenda items included 2012 budget approval, treasurer’s report, Butter Braid sales recap, the Lions Club Easter Egg Stuff, Capitol Christmas Tree ornaments, May Day baskets, Walbridge Wing flowers, and setting dates for Council Fun Trips.
The council scheduled the following activities for the summer: May 18 movie trip to Rifle, June 8/9 rafting/camping trip with District 11, July 10 wave pool trip to Craig. The council would like to remind all Meeker members that the next council meeting has been moved to Tuesday, May 1 to celebrate May Day! We will be making May Day baskets and will be delivering them around town and to the Wing! Please bring any supplies or goodies you would like to share for your baskets!
