MEEKER | The Meeker Chamber of Commerce nominating committee has selected the following individuals to be listed on the 2019 Board of Directors election ballot to fill three vacancies:
– Jan Nye—Prescriptions Salon and Spa (Incumbent)
– Kitty Clemens—Destination Strategies (incumbent)
– Marie Hooks—Rio Blanco County Workforce Center/ Colorado Department of Labor and Employment
– Nominate Additional Candidates
If you are a member of the Chamber of Commerce, you may nominate additional candidates.
A petition with the nomination bearing genuine signatures of at least 10 qualified members of the Meeker Chamber must be returned to the Meeker Chamber of Commerce office no later than 12 p.m., Monday, Aug. 19. Petitions may be filed with the Meeker Chamber at P.O. Box 869, Meeker, CO 81641 or in person at 710 Market St., Meeker.
Ballots will be mailed to chamber members.
In the event there are no petitioned candidates, the slate of candidates shall be deemed elected for the ensuring term and no formal election shall be required.
If there are additional candidates, official ballots with brief individual profiles/photos, will be mailed out to our Membership in mid August, and must be returned no later than 5 p.m., Friday, Aug. 30.
Election outcomes will be announced on Sept. 10, and the elected board members will be seated at the regular board meeting on Sept. 11.
