Will you spend more, or less, on Christmas gifts this year? According to an ABC News poll, nearly half of those surveyed said they planned to cut back on their spending this year. Last year’s average spending per household hovered around the $700 mark. What’s interesting is that the average Australian household spends $317 on Christmas, while Canadians spend nearly $1,000. Maybe it has something to do with the southern hemisphere.
Rumors are flying about energy production picking back up in the spring. We’ll have to wait and see. Meanwhile, things remain pretty quiet on the local front.

Meekerite Joe LeBlanc, currently wrestling for the University of Wyoming, took third place at the Las Vegas Invitational wrestling tournament last weekend. Family and friends made the trip to Nevada to cheer him on.
