The weather cooperated with us for Memorial Day weekend, allowing the Meeker High School Class of 2010 to commence without benefit of snow or rain. Although Meeker did share the honor of lowest temperature across the state with Aspen, Leadville and Craig, at 38 degrees. Congratulations, graduates!
If you haven’t visited the county’s website (www.co.rio-blanco.co.us/sheriff/) and clicked on the big “Code Red” button to update your telephone information, last week’s boil order for all users of town water was a good reminder to do so. The county has established a reverse 911 system, but you have to fill in the blanks so they know who to notify.
Joe LeBlanc, former MHS champion wrestler, received another honor this week. The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), awarded LeBlanc the annual All-American Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year award.
