By the time you read this, the elections will be be over for another cycle. Hopefully, the winners of these particularly vitriolic races will take it upon themselves to lay aside partisan politics and get busy doing what they are supposed to be doing: representing their constituents instead of representing an elephant or a donkey. Or a tea cup or a marijuana leaf. Or the almighty dollar.
With the passing of Halloween, it’s time to start thinking seriously about the holidays. Only a few weeks left until Thanksgiving, and a total of 49 days left until Christmas is upon us. Time to start saving for shopping season. Besides gearing up for turkey, turkey and more turkey in November, Nov. 11 is set aside to honor our nation’s veterans. It’s also Banana Pudding Lovers Month, National Novel Writing Month, Prematurity Awareness Month, and Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month.
