A very happy 70th birthday to Dan Wood on Feb. 17, as well as a happy 44th anniversary to Dan and his wife, Jean, on the same day!
We wished Curll Kline a very happy Jan. 28 birthday in the Jan. 27 edition but neglected to pass on the greetings his wife Linda sent to all her friends here at home. Linda writes, “We are enjoying a warm winter in Yuma, Ariz., and thinking of all our friends back in Meeker! Looking forward to seeing you all in the spring!”
Temperatures have been tempting us to think of spring lately but don’t get put away your snow stuff yet. Spring in northwestern Colorado is a bit of a tease. It’s more than likely we’ve still got a couple months of winter weather ahead.

Don’t forget, Monday is another Federal holiday. Banks, government offices and the post office will be closed for President’s Day.
