Confused about the difference between Memorial Day and Veterans Day (Nov. 11)? So are a lot of people. Memorial Day, held the last Monday in May, is a Federal holiday set apart to remember and honor soldiers who have died while in military service. Veterans Day, however, is set apart to honor our living servicemen and women.
Congratulations to the Meeker High School class of 2011 on your graduation this weekend. Go forth and prosper. Does this generation even know who said that?
