MEEKER I Representatives from local nonprofit groups are encouraged to attend a workshop tonight, Oct. 20, from 5-7 p.m. at the Meeker Public Library to learn how to use the Colorado Grants Guide to find sources of funding for Colorado organizations.
Summer Laws, regional manager with Northwest Colorado Rural Philanthropy Days, will present the workshop titled “Finding Funding on the Web.”
The Colorado Grants Guide is an online searchable database of funding sources for not-for-profit organizations in Colorado. The workshop is applicable to fundraising work in government agencies, non-profit organizations, sports clubs, churches and civic organizations. The Colorado Grants Guide is available for purchase at a 10 percent discount to those attending the workshop. The guide is also available for free use for the next year at the Meeker Public Library.
Participants will have the opportunity to do their own searches in the database in the workshop and will leave with a list of other online resources for funding. For further information, or to register, those interested can visit the Northwest Colorado Rural Philanthropy Days workshop www.northwestrpd.org or contact Summer Laws at 970-846-5521 or [email protected] .
The Meeker Public Library, Meeker Chamber of Commerce and Northwest Colorado Rural Philanthropy Days have joined forces to bring this workshop to Meeker.
