n Free Pumpkins Eats and Treats on Friday, Oct. 31 will include a costume contest, costume parade, trick or treating at downtown businesses and food. Participants should meet at the Meeker Elementary School at 5 p.m. for the costume judging at 5:15 p.m.. The parade will move down Main Street at 5:30 p.m., followed by trick or treating and a meal served on the courthouse lawn.
n Poolates and Core Concepts are ideal fitness classes for those who prefer midday workouts. Don’t worry about sweat or wet hair. These classes are designed for the person who will be returning to work. All classes are drop-in. You may join at any time. Cost is $4 per class with punch-passes available for a reduced per class rate. Details can be found online, in the activities brochure and by calling 878-3403.
n Road to Wellness, Oct. 20-23 from 6:45–7:45 p.m. in the multipurpose room at the MRC will be conducted by MRC Certified Fitness Instructors. Many topics important to overall fitness and a healthy lifestyle including nutrition and stress management will be emphasized. Cost is $10 for the four days.
n Ladies’ Night Out at the pool will be Sun., Oct. 19 from 5-6 p.m. For $3 ladies age 21 and older can enjoy all the aquatic amenities without kids or guys. Light refreshments will be served (memberships do not cover the cost of this program).
n Family Night Out, sponsored by Meeker Sand & Gravel, will be Sunday, Oct. 26 from 6:30–8:30 p.m. All family members are invited to enjoy the fun of the center for free. There will be a maximum of 75 people admitted; all fitness room and pool guidelines will apply. The Tot Spot child sitting area will not be open.
