Meeker Recreation Center News: May 15, 2008

n Meeker Marlins, the new swim team, began May 12. It is open to children ages 8-18 who can swim 25 yards using a breast stroke or front crawl stroke. Cost is $30. The team will meet on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 6-7 p.m. until school is out and then at 10:30-11:30 a.m. through mid-July. Register by calling, going online or coming in.
n Volleyball camp for boys and girls will be May 30. The K-fourth-grade group will meet from 9 a.m. until noon, the fifth- to eighth-graders will meet from 1-4 p.m. Cost is $10.
n Tiny Toes camp for 2-3 year olds with a parent or caregiver will be May 27-29. Cost is $10.
n Cowboy Basketball Camp is May 28-29 from 9:30-noon for boys and girls in grades K-eighth. Cost is $20.
n Fitness room orientation for seniors is free. Learn to use all the fitness room equipment on May 19, from 10:30-11:30 a.m.
