Meeker Streaker travels upriver in September

MEEKER — The Meeker Streaker took Meeker area seniors on the following trips in the month of September.
Rifle: Had eight people going for a day of shopping.
Grand Junction: Had 10 people going for doctor appointments, lunch and a day of shopping.
Craig: We had nine people going for a day of shopping and one doctor appointment plus lunch.
Town Scenic Trip: Was canceled due to lack of riders.
Church: There were four days this month with 12 riders.
Wing Trip: Had 13 residents going upriver for a scenic trip and then going to the Fall Festival.
CW: Had 15 days with 64 riders for CW, 38 doctor appointments and 150 stops for post office, Watts, dentist, etc.
Extra Trip: Had 11 town residents going to Fritzlan’s for lunch.
Sheep Dog Trials: Had 51 riders over the three-day event.
Council on Aging: Had two going to Palisade.
The Streaker provides transportation for senior citizens in the Meeker area. If you would like to sign up for a Meeker Streaker trip please call 878-5347 or 942-7125 and get on the list at CW.
Rider preference is given to senior citizens. Other people are invited to go on the trips as seating is available.
