MEEKER | Construction at Town Park will resume March 27, weather permitting, to complete phase two of the project.
Town Park is scheduled to be under construction throughout summer with an anticipated full re-opening in September. Contractors and ERBM Recreation & Park District staff will be working to complete the project. This final phase includes a hardscape activity pavilion, basketball court, fully connected walkways, a concrete parking lot, RV/tent area and more improvements to make this a destination park in Meeker.
During construction, the park will be closed to the public; this includes the restrooms, playground, and pavilion. This closure will be in effect during the Fourth of July fireworks show. Please respect this fenced workspace to ensure the safety of contractors, staff and the public.
Although this park will be closed for the majority of the 2017 summer, Meeker has a variety of different parks to fulfill your outdoor needs. Circle Park will remain open, with other locations around town such as Sanderson Hills Park, Paintbrush Park, and the Sixth Street Field available for use. The Phillip and Dorcas Jensen Trails are also a good option for hiking and mountain biking—with a phenomenal view of Meeker from the top of the China Wall trail.
