Allen served as fire chief in Meeker from 1999 to 2015.

At the Meeker Volunteer Fire and Rescue Banquet on Saturday night at the Fairfield Center in Meeker, a cake-cutting ceremony was held for the oldest and newest members of the department. Dale Frisby, center, and Francis Sullivan (not pictured) are the longest-standing members with the same starting date, and Mark Rogers, left, and Carrie Cook are the newest members, starting in 2015.
