Meeker youth wrestlers crown six champions in Hayden

MEEKER I Twenty-three members of the Meeker Community Wrestling Club wrestled in Hayden last Saturday and 18 placed in the top four, including six champions. Meeker youth wrestlers will each wrestle an intramural match tonight at the high school starting at 5 p.m.
Kaden Franklin pinned all five of his opponents and Cade Blunt pinned all four of his, as each won gold medals.
Garrett Frantz, Anders Jonsson, Tannen Kennedy and Jared Owens were also champions in their brackets.
Trae Kennedy, Stephen Koenig and Colton Wille all finished as runners-up. James Amick, Jeffery Cole, Liam Deming, Codey Follman, Joshua McCourt, Parker Pontine, Clay Randall and Tanner Ridgeway were all consolation champions and Ashdon Seibert finished fourth.
Sam Alldredge, Finley and Elijah Deming, Cooper Michaels and Trintin Moomey all wrestled in Hayden but did not place.
Meeker kids will wrestle intramural matches tonight and in Rifle April 28.
