Memorial Day: It is never too late to honor our fallen troops

Bob Blevins, right, and Peter Kiser, left, lay a wreath upon the memorial to fallen members of the Meeker community during the Memorial Day observance held at Highland Cemetery on Monday morning. To the right is VFW Ladies Auxiliary member Dawn Jastrem, who assisted by carrying the wreath at both services on Monday. A good crowd gathered at the cemetery to observe the ceremony honoring those who gave their lives while in the Armed Forces in service to the United States.
