MEEKER | The Meeker Elementary School Library is pleased to announce it has received a grant in the amount of $3,000 from the Colorado State Library through the State Grants to Libraries Act.
Funds will be used to support the update of materials in the elementary school library. The school’s budget to purchase new books has been low in recent years, and this will provide many more materials for people using the school library.
State Grants to Libraries is funded by the Colorado State Legislature this year to help increase access to early literacy and educational materials.
This non-competitive program administered by the Colorado State Library is funding a combined total of 290 public libraries and school districts this 2013-2014 fiscal year.
