MEEKER | Cowboy golf tee’d off at Bookcliff Country Club Monday morning. The second tournament of the year and as a team they shot 272 which put them eleven out of sixteen. Leading the way was senior Phil Arnold who shot 86 and senior Nick Massey shot 92; Peter Hanks shot 94, Elijah Deming shot 110, and Zagar Brown shot 138. Montrose won the tournament with a score of 235.
“Peter’s scores improved a bunch this yesterday. It was also nice to see that we had a couple get off to a rough start but managed to get it back together,” said head coach Willy Theos.
Meeker Golf had two tournaments this week and played on Wednesday at Rifle Creek Golf Course.
