MHS volleyball wins, set for districts

MEEKER I The Meeker High School volleyball team finished its regular season with a win on Saturday as they beat Hotchkiss, putting them in fourth place for this weekend’s district volleyball tournament.

The Meeker lady Cowboys will play Cedaredge on Friday at 10:30 a.m. and against Soroco at a noon game in Grand Valley.
The winner of the three-team pool will advance to the final round on Saturday for a chance to qualify for the regional tournament next week.
Tournament time is the exciting part of the season when all the matches played to this point are irrelevant, as the only scores that matter are of the games currently being played.
The winners advance and continue their season, and with that kind of pressure on the line anything can happen. It makes for outstanding volleyball as the postseason begins.
