MHS X-country team competes in Anna Banana

MEEKER I The Cowboys headed down to Grand Junction to run along the Colorado River at the Anna Banana Memorial Wildcat Invitational this past weekend, competing with 23 other teams from both the sides of the state.
In the boys’ action, both Lathrop Hughes and Jake Boesch went out with the leaders and each finished with season best times of 17:47 (41st) and 18:24 (73rd), respectively. Caleb Lange knocked more than one minute off his personal best to finish 97th with a time of 19:15. Both Bailey Mantle and Sam Lange had good races as well and finished with times of 21:15 and 22:38, respectively.
On the girls’ side, Perye Walter was the lone representative of Rio Blanco County and finished the course in a time of 35:11.
