RBC — The Western Slope Honor Flight is raising money to send 100 World War II veterans in May to Washington, D.C., to see the newly dedicated WWII Memorial. “We are asking the public’s support to help make the dreams of these veterans come true … before it’s too late,” the group said in a news release. “Time is not on our side. In another five to 10 years, most World War II veterans will be gone.” For information on how to support the project, go to www.westernslopehonorflight.com, or call Tom Kilduff, Meeker VFW Post 5843 commander, at 878-4426.
