He competed in the softball throw and received a bronze medal, the running long jump and received a bronze medal and in the 100-meter dash and received a silver medal.
B.J. Millsaps was not able to attend due to an injury to his knee during basketball season. We hope he is doing better and hope he will be back competing again soon.
We would like to take this time to thank everyone who has supported the Special Olympics team.
Coach Connie, Coach Pat and Russell Moore are moving back to Nebraska and will continue to be a part of Special Olympics. We have enjoyed our time in Rangely and the generous support that has been given to the Rangely Special Olympics team. You have been a wonderful community and have been tremendous supporters of the team.
The Rangely Special Olympics team will continue thanks to Gayla Bell who has stepped forward to continue the program.
We wish the athletes and coaches the best in the future and hope that other athletes may be able to join the team.
It is with a very sad heart that we leave our Special Olympics athletes and their families. B.J., Jeremy, Edilia: you are so special to us and we will miss you. You have truly enriched our lives and we will remember you and your families always.
