MEEKER I More than 20 kids completed the annual Road Rash ‘n Splash Kids’ Triathlon, sponsored by the ERBM Recreation and Park District.
Boys and girls were divided into four age divisions, then swam, biked and ran different distances, depending on their age.

Kids 7-8, swam 50 yards, rode a bike two miles and ran one-half mile, while kids aged 9-10 added 50 yards to the swim but kept the bike and run distances the same.
If kids were between the age of 11-12, they swam 150 yards, biked three miles and ran a mile. Kids in the oldest division (13-14) swam 150 yards, biked four miles and ran one.
Reese Clatterbaugh was the fastest girl in the youngest group, while Patrick Neton had the best time for the boys. Megan Neton won the 9-10 girls’ division and Brendan Clatterbaugh won the boys’ event.
Hailey Knowles and Colby Clatterbaugh won the 11-12-year-old division for their respective gender, while Molly Neton and Elijah Deming took top honors in the oldest division.
Two teams also competed, with each member completing one of the events and using their combined times for a team total.
Savannah and Madison Mendenhall along with Hadley Franklin represented the girls, while Montey Franklin, Finely Deming and Reed Goedert represented the boys.
