RBC I Suzanne Banning of Hayden has been appointed a full-time agent for American Family Insurance Group serving Rio Blanco County as well as other Northwest Colorado counties, according to Rita Duffy, the agency sales manager for the company.
Banning is taking over the office at 18 W. Victory Way in Craig as of Friday for the retiring agent. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays by appointment.
Banning has been a resident of Colorado’s Yampa Valley for more than 22 years. She has been in the insurance industry for more than a year and has excelled quickly to agent, Duffy said.
Prior to joining American Family, Banning worked for TIC — The Industrial Company in Project Controls and as an electrical estimator, Terra Matrix Engineering and ACZ Engineering.
She holds a civil engineering degree from Colorado State University, serves as the treasurer for the Hayden Chamber of Commerce and is the mother of a 14-year-old daughter, Brooke.
Banning says she is excited to represent American Family throughout Northwestern Colorado.
“I come from a ranching background, and American Family has a great farm/ranch product,” she said. “The products that American Family offers fit this area and I look forward to having the opportunity to work with the Rio Blanco and Moffat county communities.”
