Rangely dog wash Sunday, July 22
RANGELY | Make plans to attend The Dog Wash this Sunday, July 22 at Elks Park from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Come get your dog washed and support the Rangely Animal Shelter.

RBC’s Got Talent entry deadline extended
RBC | The deadline to sign up for the Rio Blanco County’s Got Talent Show has been extended to Thursday, July 26.  All entries are due to the Meeker or Rangely Rio Blanco County Extension Office by 5 p.m. Rio Blanco County’s Got Talent Show entry is open to all Rio Blanco County residents and will be held after the Junior Market Steer Show on Aug. 3 at the Rio Blanco County Fair. RBC Search and Rescue Poker Run July 28
MEEKER | The first annual Rio Blanco County Search and Rescue OHV poker run will be held Saturday, July 28 at Lake Avery. For $25 per hand, $10 for each additional card (must be 18 to purchase hands) riders can enjoy a 30 mile ride through the scenic White River National Forest. Hands will be sold from 9-11 a.m at Station 1 and must be turned in at Station 5 by 4 p.m. First place, $250; second place, $150; third place, $100. There will be door prizes and concessions will be provided by the Meeker Lions Club. All vehicles must be licensed or registered and vehicle width may not exceed 64 inches. Democratic party meeting July 23
MEEKER | The Rio Blanco County Democratic Party will host a house meeting with District Coordinator Katie Savage on Wednesday, July 23 from 5:30-8 p.m. at Kilowatt Korner in the WREA building at Sixth and Market streets. Savage will discuss strategies for getting voters out, and clarifying the misinformation and rhetoric that is being widely promulgated about the Affordable Care Act and other critical issues and candidates of the forthcoming selection.
