Fitzgibbons on honor roll
MEEKER | Northeastern Junior College has released its honor roll list for the 2012 spring semester and reports that 170 students were given high academic achievement recognition, including 69 students who made the President’s List by earning a 4.0 grade point average. According to the office of the registrar at Northeastern, those making the President’s List included Stacey Fitzgibbons of Meeker Northeastern Junior College is the largest residential two-year college in Colorado. It offers students more than 80 programs of study in both transfer and career and technical areas. The college serves approximately 1,100 full-time students and an additional 2,400 part-time and community learners.
Meeker Pageant seeking participants
MEEKER | Meeker Pageant director Laurie Zellers is seeking participants for the July 4th Meeker Pageant production. This spectacular annual event has been presented each year for more than 70 years. CRMI workshop in Meeker June 21
RBC | Douglas Creek Conservation District, White River Conservation District and the Colorado Cattlemen’s Association are holding a Colorado Resource Monitoring Initiative (CRMI) Workshop in Meeker June 21. The event is being sponsored by the Bureau of Land Management. Please join us and learn the importance of monitoring your rangeland and the benefits of implementing CRMI. The workshop will be taking place at Mountain Valley Bank, 400 Main St., and the cost for the program is $25 per individual or $40 per ranch. RBC’s Got Talent
RBC | The Rio Blanco County Fair is hosting the first annual Rio Blanco County’s Got Talent Show on Friday, Aug. 3 after the 4-H/FFA steer show. Entry forms for the talent show can be picked up as early as June 4 at the Meeker and Rangely CSU Extension locations. Call Roxie at 878-9495 for more information. Entry forms for the Rio Blanco County’s Got Talent show are due by 5 p.m. July 3.

Balloga graduated from Gonzaga U
MEEKER | Clare Balloga of Meeker participated in Gonzaga University’s graduation exercises during a commencement ceremony held May 13 in Spokane’s Veterans’ Memorial Arena. Clare graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in biology.
