Looking for Old Timer photos for banquet
MEEKER | The Rio Blanco County Pioneers Association (Old Timers) will celebrating its 100th anniversary this year on June 2 and is looking for pictures of the past presidents. If anyone has a picture of a past officer please call Connie Theos at 970-878-5369 or mail to 6909 County Road 49, Meeker, Colo., 81641; or Kay Bivens at 970-878-4866 or mail 1157 Garfield St., Meeker, Colo., 81641. All pictures will be returned to their owners.
Big Game Hunting brochure is available
RBC | The Colorado Parks and Wildlife 2012 Big Game Hunting brochure is now available and limited license applications are being accepted for this fall’s big-game hunts. License applications for deer, elk, pronghorn, moose, sheep and bear are due Tuesday, April 3.
Neilson makes President’s honor roll
meeker | Morgan Neilson made the President’s Dean’s Honor Roll for the fall semester at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Okla. She has a 4.0 GPA and is studying to receive her Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in agricultural communications and animal science.
WRNF seeking job applicants for summer
RBC | The White River National Forest is seeking job applicants for its summer 2012 seasonal hiring. All interested applicants are encouraged to apply. Food Bank will be in Meeker today
MEEKER | Food Bank of the Rockies (FBR) mobile pantry truck will be in Meeker providing assistance to community members today  from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Fairgrounds, 779 Sulphur Creek Rd.
