“Home of” 411
RANGELY — Michael and Jane Miller of Rangely are this week’s “home of” honorees. The Millers have lived here 18 years. They will celebrate their 34th wedding anniversary in September.
Michael is a mechanic for Chevron. Jane owns and operates Quality Carpet and Furnishings.
They have two daughters: Angie Miller of Rangely helps her mom at the store and Kathy Kottenstette and her husband Ian live in Grand Junction.
Michael loves restoring old cars. Jane enjoys making stained glass and teaches classes in stained glass at her store. Jane also knits, crochets and loves crafts.
When asked what she likes most about Rangely, Jane replied, “The people. Ever since we moved here, they’re wonderful. The weather is way warmer than North Dakota. It’s a great place to live and bring up children. It’s a safe place.”

Council hosting event at Kilowatt Korner
RBC — Please join the Northwest Colorado Council for Children and Families April 15 from 5:30-8 p.m. at Kilowatt Korner, 233 Sixth St. in Meeker, to learn more about being a part of the establishment of the council. A catered dinner by Ma Famiglia restaurant will be provided. Please RSVP to Debbie Yeager, 824-8282, ext. 47, by March 28. Indicate vegetarian meal preference or any handicap accommodations you may need.

Church hosting Good Friday service
RANGELY — On Friday, March 21 at 6 p.m. there will be a Good Friday service at Rangely Assembly of God church located at 204 E. Rio Blanco Ave. This will be a service that will focus on the death of Jesus and what it means to us. Everyone is invited.

Sunrise service set for March 23
RANGELY — On Easter Sunday, March 23, the community of Rangely is having a sunrise service. The service will start at 7 a.m. at the cross on Dragon Trail. There will be songs and the speaker is Pastor Mike Skaggs from Rangely Assembly of God church. Everyone from the community is invited.

Easter Service to be held Sunday
MEEKER — The Easter Sunrise Service will be held at 7 a.m. Sunday, March 23 at Starbuck Stadium.

Annual Elks Easter egg hunt canceled
RANGELY — Rangely Elks regrets having to cancel its annual Easter egg hunt scheduled for Saturday, Mar. 22 at Elks Park due to snow and mud.

Pest control district meets March 27
RANGELY — The Lower White River Pest Control District will meet at the Water Conservancy Building at 2252 E. Main in Rangely on Thursday, March 27 at 8 p.m.
