Last day of Meeker Book Fair
MEEKER | The Meeker Elementary School at 201 Ute Road would like to invite the community to our Scholastic All-Star Book Fair as it continues today from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The book fair will be held in the library. Grandparents are encouraged to bring their grandchildren to the book fair. All grandparents that bring a grandchild will have their name entered in a drawing for a gift from the book fair. Everyone is invited.

Mayor’s reception for the Capitol Tree
MEEKER | Plan on being in downtown Meeker at 4:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 2 to witness the grand entry of the 2012 Capitol Christmas Tree. Following the grand entry, there will be a mayor’s reception at the Meeker Café from 5-7 p.m. During this time the Meeker Elementary School fifth grade students will sing patriotic songs, the tree banner, which will be attached to the tree as it travels across the United States on its way to Washington D.C., will be available for signing and Santa Claus will be celebrating with us. Capitol Christmas Tree parade of lights
MEEKER | The Meeker Chamber of Commerce is currently taking vendor applications for the street fair, scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 3, 2-7 p.m., in downtown Meeker. The street fair is open to all businesses, not-for-profit organizations and groups needing a fundraising opportunity. The Meeker Chamber is also accepting entry forms for the Parade of Lights, scheduled for the evening of Nov. 3.
