RBC | Colorado landowners have until Friday, Oct. 19 to submit an application for enrollment into the Natural Resources Conservation Service’s (NRCS) Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP). Eligible applications received after the cutoff period may be considered during a later time and will be processed throughout the fiscal year as needed. EQIP provides voluntary financial assistance for conservation systems. This sign up deadline is only for the selected national and state initiatives which include: Air Quality Initiative; High Tunnel; National Water Quality Initiative; Ogallala Aquifer Initiative; On-Farm Energy; Organic Initiative; Strikeforce; WLFW (Working Lands For Wildlife) Cutthroat Trout; WLFW Lesser Prairie Chicken Initiative; WLFW Sage Grouse Initiative, WLFW Southwestern Willow Flycatcher; Disaster Relief Funding (2018 wildfires); and Conservation Activity Plan.
