RANGELY I Members of the Rangely Child Protection team are offering a new parenting program, beginning Feb. 22.
Called the Nurturing Parent Program, the course will feature activities to foster positive parenting skills and self-nurturing, home practice exercises, family nurturing time, and activities to promote positive brain development in children birth to 5 years old.
Each of the 16 classes will feature information for parents, activities for the children and a meal for all participants. There is no charge for the program, which is being funded by the Colorado Children’s Trust Fund. Parents will bring their children with them to the programs. Older children are welcome to attend as well as the preschoolers.
The classes will be held on Monday nights from 5:30 to 8:15 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 207 S. Sunset. For more information, contact Kathleen Martynowicz at 675-5008.
