RBC I Colorado U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet announced Friday that the Northwest Colorado Council of Governments has won a $66,000 grant from the Economic Development Administration (EDA).
The Northwest Colorado Council of Governments (NWCCOG) will use this funding to support the development and implementation of a comprehensive economic development strategy (CEDS).
“The Northwest Colorado Council of Governments is working to boost local economies across Northwest Colorado by establishing a coordinated strategy to grow small businesses and create jobs throughout the region,” Bennet said. “This grant will support those efforts as they develop a comprehensive plan to diversify and strengthen the regional economy.”
The EDA’s Partnership Planning program assists local, regional, and statewide organizations with investments in developing, maintaining and implementing a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy and related short-term planning activities.
