Elizabeth Rippy Harding

Elizabeth Rippy Harding, 31, of Loma died Feb. 3, 2009, in rural Mesa County.
Elizabeth was born April 5, 1977, in Meeker where she attended school, graduating with the Meeker High School class of 1995. She held an associate of arts in health administration degree and had worked in the medical field at various hospitals, nursing homes and clinics. At the time of her death Elizabeth was studying to become a medical assistant.
Elizabeth enjoyed the time she spent outdoors boating, four-wheeling and riding her dirt bike. She especially enjoyed the annual trip to Moab for the Jeep Safari at Easter time.
The light of her life was her 8-year-old daughter, Sydnie, and she loved the special time they spent together.
In addition to her daughter, Elizabeth is survived by her parents, Diane and Steve Gulliksen of Meeker and Mike and Brenda Rippy of Rock Springs, Wyo.; her brother, Joe and his wife Misty and their daughter Misty; her grandparents, Wanda Harris of Loma, Bonnie French of Craig, Barbara and Del Shaffer of Golden; two great-grandmothers, Josephine French of Meeker and Elinor Pearce of Golden; her former husband, Bill Harding, Jr., as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Jesse Harris and Larry Rippy and her aunt, Debbie Seabaum.
A memorial service was held Sunday, Feb. 8 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Meeker. Friends may make memorial contributions to the Sydnie Harding Educational Fund through Cochran Memorial Chapel which has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
