Albert John Monson, 82, was born Nov. 1, 1932, and he passed on Sunday, March 15, 2015, to his eternal home to be with the Lord Jesus in heaven.
He was a loving husband and devoted family man.
Albert was graduated from Meadow Grove (Neb.) High School in 1950 and he was an excellent student and athlete. He played baseball and was an all-star catcher. He was also a great golfer.
He farmed with his brother, Wayne, before serving three years in the United States Navy. After his service, he worked construction with a close friend, John Hughes. He then worked in Lincoln for many years at Norden Laboratories, then on to Meeker, Colo.
He faithfully served in the Methodist Church, teaching Sunday School to adults and singing in the choir, each which he enjoyed greatly.
He retired in Mesquite, Nev., and returned to his birthplace in Meadow Grove for many years. His struggle with congestive heart failure caused his last move to Homestead Nursing Home in Lincoln in 2005. That is where he ended his days on Sunday March 15, 2015.
