Obituary: Brenda Walker

Brenda Darlene North Walker, 47, of Meeker, Colo., passed away at Pioneers Hospital in Meeker on Oct. 5, 2012.
She was born in San Bernardino, Calif., on May 12, 1965, to Thomas and Jesse Kathy McFarland North.
Her family moved to Meeker in 1967. Brenda attended school in Meeker and after high school she moved to Phoenix, Ariz., where she worked at the Venetian Resort. She married and divorced James Walker and then moved to Glenwood Springs where she worked at the Hotel Colorado until she became disabled and moved back home to Meeker.
Brenda loved the mountains, fishing and her faithful dog B.J. She also enjoyed TV game shows.
She is survived by her mother Kathy of Meeker, father Tom (Debbie) of Palisade, Colo., sister Tammie North of Parachute, Colo., brothers Tom North of Seabeck, Wash., Eric North of Meeker, Steve North of Orlando, Fla., and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandmother and grandfather, older sister Leona and two nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church in Meeker at 11th and Garfield. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Blackburn Mortuary.
