Obituary: Christene Leverne Caswell Sept. 16, 1930 ~ March 12, 2011

Christene Caswell

Christene was born in Anson, Texas, on Sept. 16, 1930, and passed away on March 12, 2011, in Grand Junction, Colo.

Rangely was her home after relocating from Eagle Point, Ore., in 1995.
She was preceded in death by her father Otha Wilson Turner, mother Vera May Acklin, stepmother Mary Ellen Barrett, infant sister Peggy Lee, brother Bobby Gene Turner and first grandchild Jade Karissa Perry.
Christene is survived by her husband of 64 years, Jack Leonard Caswell; her three children, Michael Leonard Caswell, Deborah Sue Karschner and Cheryl Ann Slaymaker; brother Danny Turner and sister-in-law Wynnelle Turner.
She leaves behind seven grandchildren: Heidi Yardley, Shaelyn Gilbert, Seth Gilbert, Jesse Caswell, Jerad Caswell, Duke Karschner, Christopher Karschner and five great-grandchildren: Justin and Faith Yardley, Nyleah, Isiaih and Elijah Robbins and many other family members who loved her dearly.
She loved God, life, laughter and her family, friends, dancing with her husband, the beach and all animals. Her heartfelt smile will be missed so much by all whose hearts were touched by knowing Christene.
A memorial service will be announced at a later time.
