Clayton Claude Graham passed away March 10, 2014, in Meeker, Colo. He was born Dec. 20, 1934, in Rifle, Colo., to to Elmer and Hazel Graham, the youngest of five children. He was raised in Rifle.
On July 13, 1957, Clayton married Bonnie Johnson. Shortly after getting married, Clayton spent some time in the Army, serving in the eastern states and in Germany.
Together, he and Bonnie had two children, Kirk and Lora. After having children, he worked in the natural gas field. The family spent a few years living in Wyoming, but they spent most of their time living in the Piceance Creek and Meeker areas. Clayton also spent a few years working at ColoWyo Coal Co.
Bonnie passed away in August 2002.
Family was very important to Clayton, and he will be greatly missed by them. He loved being outdoors. He enjoyed spending time riding his horses, camping and gardening. And his grandchildren loved doing these activities with him.
Clayton is survived by: his son, Kirk Graham of Parachute, Colo.; his daughter, Lora (Maurice) Henscheid of Grand Junction, Colo.; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Velma Hopper of Sacramento, Calif.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday March 15, 2014, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Rifle, Colo. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery in Rifle.
