Darlene Jean (Gordon) Wall went home to be with her father in heaven on Friday July 30, 2010. She was a wife, mom, grandma, baby sister, daughter, aunt and friend.
Darlene was a fun-loving, good-spirited woman who cared for everyone around her. Her pride and joys in life were her husband, kids, grandkids and dogs. She was loved by all who knew her.
Darlene was born on Aug. 9, 1955, in Glenwood Springs to Roland Edward and Shirley Iona Gordon.
She was raised in New Castle and attended Rifle High School. She was also a member of the Faith Baptist Church and had a passion for writing poems, camping, four-wheeling and had a love for the great outdoors.
Darlene is survived by her loving husband Donald L. Wall of Meeker, brother John Gordon (Norma) of Fruita, sister Shirley Wailes (Warren) of New Castle, brother Robert Gordon (Judy) of New Castle, children Tobey Willey (Rachel) of Meeker, Heidi Elder (Derek) of Fruita, Rhawnie McGruder (Clint) of Meeker, step-children Justin Wall of Denver, Jason Wall (Charla) of Longmont, Jackie Woodhams (Alan) of Loveland, many grandkids, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews all of whom adored and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her mom and dad, stepmom Corrine and nephew Dominick.
In regards to her wishes she will be cremated and her ashes spread at Meadow Lake during the fall — her favorite time of year.
