Duane Bruce Moeller, 69, formerly of Rangely, Colo., passed away Nov. 3, 2018, from complications related to Parkinson’s disease.
He is survived by Arlyss Raboin (sister), Stuart Moeller (brother), Jeff and Ken Raboin (nephews), Renee Kodey (niece) and many great nieces and nephews.
Duane was a dedicated teacher for 35 years. He received his bachelor’s degree from Cal Poly in Pomona, Calif., and his teaching certificate from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colo. He started his teaching career in Branson, Colo., and taught in many locations with the last 17 years in Rangely, Colo. He taught many subjects but his first love was always science. His students will remember that he always had some sort of reptile or animal in his classroom.
He was a dedicated coach of many sports with his favorite being volleyball. Duane was passionate about sports especially the Colorado Rockies and Denver Broncos. He also was very interested in weather.
