Obituary: Edward Frank Amato, Jr.

Beloved father and friend, Edward Frank Amato, Jr., born May 5, 1942 in Denver, Colo., to Edward and Alice Amato, passed away in Meeker, Colo., Dec. 26, 2012. He is lovingly remembered by his son, Edward Amato of Seattle, Wash., and his daughter, Dawn Amato of Everett, Wash., as well as his two granddaughters, Sidney and Lauren Bach. He is also survived by many loved nieces and nephews.
Ed had a great passion for life and loved sharing it with those around him. He worked and played hard and he got his greatest pleasure by experiencing the wilds of Colorado, Alaska and Washington state. He made friends whereever he lived and his family is truly thankful to the townspeople of Meeker for looking out for him in his final years.
In keeping with Ed’s wishes there will be no formal service. An informal gathering to celebrate his life is in the planning stage. This will take place on his birthday in Meeker. For further information please contact Ed Amato, III at [email protected].
