DINOSAUR | Ester Miner, 70, a resident of Dinosaur, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, went to be with Jesus on Feb. 16, 2010. She was born in Pine Creek on March 8, 1939, to George and Grace Terry. She moved to Salida, where she was later was graduated from Salida High School. Ester moved to Grand Junction with her family where she met and married her husband Raymond Miner. They made their home in Dinosaur. Ester worked in Vernal, Utah, for many years at the Skillet Cafe and later operated her own cafe in Dinosaur.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond. Her children: Anthony (Crystal), Grace (Steve) Stewart, Raymond (Betsy) Miner, and Sandy (Richard) Garcia; her 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her brother, John (Leona) Terry of Grand Junction; and sisters: Dolly (Lloyd) Lavoto of Gunnison and Janet Paxton of Lanexa, Va., and numerous nephews and nieces. The greatest love was her family, and she took great pride in them. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, (George, John, and Jack.) and five sisters ( Hazel, Honey, Ruby, Lucille and Minnie)
Services were held at the Bible Baptist Church in Rangely on Saturday Feb. 20, 2010. Cochran Memorial Chapel was entrusted with the arrangements.
