Grace N. Maybury, 82, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015, at Samaritan hospital in Moses Lake, Wash.
Services were held Friday, Jan. 9, 2015, with the Holy Rosary said at 10:30 a.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial said at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Moses Lake.
Grace was born Aug. 16, 1932, in Myton, Utah, to Reginaldo Ortega and Nativeda (Quintana) Ortega. Grace married Orlo Alvin Maybury on April 25, 1953. They lived in Colorado (Rangely and Dinosaur), Idaho, Oregon and Washington.
Grace enjoyed being with her family, traveling, bingo, camping, singing, reading and crocheting. She worked as a waitress at the Snack Bar and The Trading Post for Polly Hazlebush for many years.
Grace is survived by: her daughters, Bonnie Shoemaker (Terry) and Carol Moore (Mike) of Moses Lake, Wash; her sons, David (Becky) of Battlement Mesa, Colo., Robert of Moses Lake and Fred (Melissa) of Grand Junction, Colo.; stepchildren Allen, Tommy, Kenny, Loren (Laura) Maybury of Meeker and Lois (Dan) Tibbs of Sunbeam. She also has 16 grandchildren: Jesse, TJ, Josh, Shane, James, Jeremy, Merridy, Karisa, Niki, Melissa, Angela, Trenton, Alanna, Damen, Kolton and Connor; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Grace was predeceased by: her parents, Reginaldo and Nativeda; her husband, Orlo; a grandson, Dylan Maybury; and her brothers, Leonard, Paul, Frank and Reginaldo.
