Isaec J. Slaugh (Ike), 48, passed away suddenly Sept. 1, 2016.
Ike was born on May 10, 1968, to Clyde J. Slaugh and Sonny Rector. Later in life he gained a step-mom, Diane Slaugh. Ike was born and raised in Rangely, Colo. He was graduated from Rangely High School. Ike’s love for animals was apparent in his childhood. He had many horses, a pet owl named Malcom, a pet coyote, a pet skunk named Lepew, and a pit bull named Sassy, who traveled with him for many years.
His first job was for W.C. Striegel which introduced him to the oil and gas industry. This led him to be a driller on the rigs. In 2001 Ike married Jacque Mitchel Slaugh. Ike and Jacque had one son, Justin Isaec Slaugh, Justin was the love of his life. Ike was known all around as a man of all trades. He was an excellent horseshoer and had recently graduated from welding school in May 2016. Ike was working for the Sombero Ranch as a wrangler/horseshoer at the time of his death.
Ike loved to fish and ride dirt bikes, but most of all he loved his family.
Ike leaves behind his son Justin Slaugh, his father Clyde J. Slaugh, stepmother Diane Slaugh, two brothers Dennis J. Slaugh (Margaret), Bill Hammer, one sister Brandy Slaugh Shelton (James Odom), three nephews Cody J. Slaugh, Bransen Clyde Shelton and Cole Younger Odom. Services pending.
