Jerald “Jerry” Tullio was born Nov. 9, 1933, the son of Frank and Frances Tullio.
Jerry was graduated from Paonia High School and enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving from 1952 to 1956.
After receiving an honorable discharge, Jerry, along with his brother, Frank, purchased a restaurant in Ridgeway, Colo., where he met and married Donna Brown.
From this union, three children were born, Tami (Kevin) Williams of Rangely, Colo., Jeri (Bob) Prescott of Grand Junction, Colo., and Todd (Sandy) Tullio of Houston Texas.
Jerry worked in the oil industry in Rangely and for Willard Pease after moving to Grand Junction, where he met and married Margaret (Peggy) on April 22, 1984.
Jerry worked for Sam’s Club until recently.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Peggy; his five children, Tami, Jeri, Todd, Bill and Loretta; eight grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Pete (Shirley) Tullio, of Delta, Colo., and Henry (Barbara) Tullio of Somerset, Colo.; and a sister, Louise Moran of Forest Grove, Ore.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers John and Frank, and two sisters, Rose and Liz.
Jerry entered into rest on Sept. 9, 2013. Graveside services were held Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, in Delta, Colo.
